It was the start of the “Misa De Gallo” when I remembered and suddenly missed the church in Buhi, Camarines Sur. Buhi is my Mama’s home town. I actually studied there from 3rd to 5th grade and gained good friends that I get to still communicate with until now. They will remain friends for life of course.

When my friend Zhalva informed me that they’re leaving Manila and on their way to Buhi to celebrate New Year there with family and relatives. I did not hesitate to ask her a favor if she can take photos of the Buhi parish church. She gladly said yes and here are the church photos she took using her phone’s camera.

This is also where Buhi Lake is, the home to the world’s smallest edible fish locally known as “Sinarapan” or Mystychtis Luzonensis. I will definitely post photos of Lake Buhi and Sinarapan next time. I am hoping to come home to my mama’s hometown by summer of this year. That will be in time for the town’s fiesta. I am sure there will be lots of food and many church and town activities that my kids would enjoy too. I am but excited!
